ECDL Foundation has endorsed 14 programmes, which are designed and created by other organisations for specific target groups. These programmes often address specific requirements or demands in a particular country, while still adhering to the high standard of quality in content and operation set by ECDL Foundation. Endorsed programmes are identifiable by their use of the ‘endorsed by ECDL Foundation' logo.

MultiMedia
Associazione Italiana per l’Informatica ed il Calcolo Automatico (AICA) the ECDL Foundation national operator in Italy, offers an ECDL Foundation endorsed programme called MultiMedia.
The purpose of the MultiMedia programme is to ensure awareness, understanding and competence of digital media programs in capturing, manipulating, editing, mixing and exporting digital audio/video data.
Screen Reading, Optical Character Recognition
The Screen Reading, Optical Character Recognition module is aimed at visually impaired candidates who wish to develop their knowledge of, and skills relating to, screen reader applications and optical character recognition applications.
Social Media
ICDL Arabia, the ICDL National Operator for Egypt, GCC States, and Iraq, has launched the ICDL Social Media modules as an ECDL Foundation Endorsed Programme. The programme consists of three modules: social media, cyber safety, and online search, which, taken together, provide the ICDL Social Media Profile Certification. Each module is also a stand-alone ICDL standard module that can be taken in any combination or individually as part of the ICDL Standard Profile or Personalised Profile Certification.
Typing Skills
As the keyboard is still the most common and important interface for human-computer interaction, the speed and accuracy of users in working with this device is a main factor for efficiency.
The endorsed product, “Typing Skills” offers a benchmark for these skills.
3D CAD
AICA, the ECDL Foundation National Operator in Italy, offers an ECDL Foundation endorsed programme called 3D CAD. 3D CAD has been developed to certify individuals who have successfully demonstrated that they have the skills and knowledge to use the standard features of 3D CAD applications.
Datenschutz
ECDL Germany (DLGI), the ECDL National Operator in Germany, has launched a certification module about data protection, under the German name Datenschutz. Datenschutz is aimed at employees who regularly handle personal data and customer data.
Digital Photography (Digitální Fotografie)
The Digital Photography endorsed programme has been developed by CertiCon corp. (Czech national ECDL sub-licensee) in cooperation with CSKI (Czech National ECDL Licensee) and Zoner Software corp. (Czech photography software development company).
e-Urzednik (e-Clerk)
e-Urzednik (e-Clerk) is a certification adapted to the requirements of the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in public administration. It has been designed by PTI, the ECDL National Operator in Poland. The e-Clerk certification is directed to all persons working in public administration, regardless of status, education, age, abilities or skills. The exam verifies the skills specifically related to the use of ICT in a public administration office: job-related information search, the safe use of internet e-services (especially e-Government), and the proper understanding of concepts such as public information, protection of personal data, electronic signature etc.
e-Guardian
e-Guardian is intended for everyone who wants to protect the welfare and safety of children, as virtual world technology poses ever increasing risks. The main aim of e-Guardian is to educate and teach adults and children how to safeguard themselves from internet threats how to become competent onilne users.
e-Kids
The Croatian Computer Society (CITS), the ECDL National Operator in Croatia, operates e-Kids, an ECDL Foundation endorsed programme, in Croatia. The e-Kids programme has an integral approach for enabling children to become digitally literate.
e-Learner
e-Learner is a programme endorsed by ECDL Foundation for use in South Africa, which equips young students with a solid foundation for progressing on to the ECDL / ICDL qualification. It is a modular course of progressive ICT skills using courseware from Computers 4 Kids. Through an integrated approach, e-Learner enables students to acquire essential ICT skills across a spectrum of 7 units.
Electronic Signature
The National Operator for Hungary, the John von Neumann Computer Institute, has launched an ECDL Foundation Endorsed Programme called, 'Electronic Authenticity, Electronic Signature Module'. The basic aim of this ECDL Electronic Authenticity, Electronic Signature Module is to verify the knowledge and proficiency gained in electronic authenticity.
e-Nauczyciel (e-Teacher)
e-Nauczyciel (e-Teacher) is a programme that helps teachers to develop and adjust their methods of teaching to meet the requirements of the global information society and the dynamic developments of ICT in the classroom.
forKids
forKids is a programme designed for children, aged 6-11, which provides an insight into computers and computer applications. It has been developed by ECDL Hellas (Futurekids) in Greece and endorsed by ECDL Foundation, the certifying authority of the leading international computer skills certification programme – ECDL.
GIS
AICA, the ECDL Foundation national operator in Italy, in association with LABSITA, has launched an endorsed programme called GIS (Geographic Information System). The GIS certification is aimed at professionals who wish to demonstrate their GIS skills by obtaining a recognised qualification.
3D Printing
The objective of this module is that the targeted group acquires an overview on 3D printing technologies and materials used in these processes, as well as the costs associated with each type of printer in hand.
