The Computer Society of Malta (CSM) recently organized its third edition of the ICT Malta Awards. Companies were invited to put forward their nominations in eight different categories: eBusiness Solutions, IT Education, Information Society, R & D, Micro Enterprise, IT Product, IT Project and IT Company.

This year CSM received a record number of 40 nominations, three of them were short-listed from each category to participate in the finals. On the actual ICT Malta awards night, the winners were announced and presented with their respective prestigious awards.

The guest of honour for the awards night was the Hon Dr Austin Gatt MP, the Minister for Industry, Infrastructure and Information Technology, who delivered the key note address. A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to an IT company with over 30 years experience in providing IT solutions in both the local private and public sector. Monetary awards were also made to four students from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology who are following courses in ICT.
