As youth literacy rates in Mauritania have increased in the last few years, the importance of ICT skills development has also grown. Abdullah Bin Yacin University has now become the first Accredited Test Centre in the country, after a project with Specto.

After completing the accreditation process, the university will offer ICDL tests in Arabic and French. The introduction of ICDL to Mauritania through Abdullah Bin Yacin University represents a great potential for further development of digital skills in the country.
