ICDL is being further rolled out at Tripoli University in Libya, thanks to a new agreement between the University and Libyan Quality Assurance Systems (LQAS), the ICDL National Operator in the country. 150 students have already enrolled for ICDL training and certification after a successful promotional campaign in September this year.

The Memorandum of Understanding will see LQAS support the University, which is the largest in Libya, in implementing ICDL for both students and faculty. The Base and Intermediate ICDL modules will be available at a reduced rate to students by 20 October 2016. The University intends to expand the ICDL program to additional locations on the main campuses over time.

The successful promotional campaign, which saw 150 student enrollments in the ICDL program, was managed by LQAS and the Tripoli University Students’ Union, with funding from the Libyan Mobile Company. There was a high level of interest in ICDL from staff and students.
