The Community Policing Institute in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has announced the adoption of the New ICDL Profile structure, which includes IT Security, in order to enhance the digital competencies and knowledge of the police and community.

This aligns with the Community Policing Institute’s strategy to implement the best international practices and latest concepts to support the development of the police and ensure the highest levels of security and safety. The adoption of the New ICDL structure aims to tackle the digital skills gap among police, by providing them with digital data protection skills and equipping them with the necessary tools needed in using computers and the internet. The training programmes will be offered in the Community Policing Institute, which has been accredited by ICDL Arabia as an Accredited Test Centre.
