Through extensive engagement with the Digital Competence Framework (DigComp), ECDL Poland has succeeded in achieving broad coverage of the framework with ECDL. In addition to their own use of DigComp, ECDL Poland has been active in promoting it on the national level, including by translating the DigComp 2.0 report to Polish.

The DigComp Framework was developed by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre to identify digital competences in a number of areas, including, ‘information and data literacy’, ‘communication and collaboration’, and ‘digital content creation’. It provides a tool for understanding what skills are key in these areas. The Polish Government requires that ICT training in the country cover the three areas mentioned above.
