ICDL Digital Challenge is the first ever ICDL computer and digital competition in Asia, open to tertiary and university students between 18 and 25 years old. The challenge hopes to identify and recognise the top students with the best ICT skills. The winner will have the chance to win prizes including a Student Exchange Programme with ICDL in one of 5 selected countries.
There are three rounds to the competition, with students being tested on selected ICDL modules, including Online Collaboration, IT Security, Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Presentation.
For the first round of this challenge, students from the participating schools will be required to take a 15 minute test based on the ICDL Base Modules. Only the top two students from each school will be shortlisted to compete against each other in the Qualifying Round.
The top 2 students from Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, Bhutan and India will compete in the Final Round of the competition, which will be held on 4 July 2017 in Singapore.
So far, ICDL Asia has received positive responses and interest from more than 150 organisations combined. All of the schools have agreed to support us, and will be sending their students to take part in this competition.
