Cedefop, the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, has released its 2016 European Inventory on National Qualifications Frameworks. The latest edition of the document highlights that the benefits and added value of national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) become more visible as those frameworks develop and are implemented.

21 countries have used NQF levels on their qualification documents and in databases of qualifications, with the European Qualifications Framework serving as the main impulse for this development.

As an international certification, ECDL is mapped to several qualifications frameworks in Europe and beyond, and is continuously being mapped to NQFs.

More information about the 2016 European Inventory on National Qualifications Frameworks can be found on the website of Cedefop.
