ICDL Americas and UDUAL, the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean held the third edition of the Digital Skills Development and Certification Webinar this month, with more than 25 institutions participating so far. Last year the two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of promoting and developing digital skills in Latin America and the Caribbean in the context of promoting the use of ICT for strengthening higher education and labour skills.

These webinars are open for universities that are members of UDUAL and interested in the topic, to receive more information about the possibilities of using ICDL for ICT development projects. Through the Memorandum of Understanding, UDUAL members receive special benefits to be accredited as ICDL Accredited Test Centres and to offer the ICDL international certification within their academic programmes and continuing education courses.
