The Central Bank of Rwanda (BNR) is carrying out a pilot of ICDL Compass to test the skills of its employees. The project is being undertaken to identify the digital skills gaps at BNR, and determine which ICDL modules are relevant for each department. BNR has shown an interest in offering ICDL to more than 400 of its employees.

In collaboration with the human resources team at BNR, ICDL Africa offered ICDL Compass to BNR employees to test their skills compared to the expectations of their employers. The initial group that took the test showed a large skills gap and results were shared during a presentation to the Governor and management of BNR.

ICDL Compass is a tool, being piloted by ICDL Foundation, which allows the digital skills in workforces to be measured, and the skills gaps to be identified.
