The first full edition of the European Classification of Skills, Competences, Occupations and Qualifications (ESCO) has been launched by the European Commission. ESCO provides a common language that can be used to help employers and the education and training sector to better communicate and overcome mismatches in skills.

Covering almost 3,000 occupations and over 13,000 areas of knowledge, skills and competences, ESCO is available free of charge through the online ESCO service platform.

More information can be found on the website of the European Commission.
