ICDL Asia launched the ICDL Digital Challenge 2017 early this year in a search for the top student with the best ICT skills in Asia. The competition received an overwhelming response with the participation of 3,694 students from 108 schools and from 7 countries and territories including Bhutan, India, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Recently, ICDL Asia welcomed the top two students from these seven countries, as well as guests, to Singapore for the ICDL Digital Challenge 2017 – Grand Final.
The Grand Final round took place at COMAT Training Services, an ICDL Accredited Test Centre, where the top students took three selected ICDL tests. Students and guests then participated in a tour of the city in the afternoon, visiting famous attractions in Singapore such as Gardens by the Bay and Merlion Park.
The announcement and award presentation for the competition was held in conjunction with the ICDL Digital Literacy Day 2017 at the Singapore Management University (SMU). The top winners won an exclusive student exchange program with ICDL Asia, a globally recognised ICDL certificate, and cash vouchers.
