Young people leaving SOS Children’s Village in Vietnam will be able to take advantage of ICDL to boost their employability and productivity under a new project. Young people who are still studying, or who are looking for work after recently graduating from high school will have the opportunity to study for and take ICDL certification tests.

Since starting in March 2017, the project has been implemented in 9 SOS Children’s Villages, starting with SOS Children’s Village Vietnam, SOS Children's Village Danang and SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh. The project has significantly improved the participants ICT skills for work and study. So far, 68 young people have gained ICDL certification, and more are expected to be trained and certified as the project continues, and spreads to other countries. As a result of the success of the project, SOS Kinderdorf International has noted the value of the ICDL certification.
