Damien O’Sullivan, CEO of ECDL Foundation, has been selected to serve on the Governing Board of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition. The first meeting of the Board took place on 28 September, in Brussels.

The Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition is an initiative of the EU that brings together key stakeholders from education, training and employment, as well as representatives of EU Member State governments. The Coalition aims to tackle the problem of low-levels of digital skills in Europe.

ECDL Foundation has long supported the efforts of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, and its predecessor, the Grand Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs. We have made concrete pledges to take action to boost digital skills, including implementing our Digital Marketing module in at least 5 EU countries by the end of this year, launching our Computing module, and ensuring that, by the end of 2018, 2 million digital skills assessments leading to ECDL assessment will take place.
