The 5th annual European Cyber Security Month took place in October, with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of cyber security for all. The initiative brings together organisations from across Europe, and beyond.

This year’s campaign was split into different themes throughout the month, focussing on cyber security in the workplace, governance, privacy and data protection, cyber security in the home, and skills for cyber security. 516 different activities took place in 36 countries, including an online cyber security quiz, webinars, publicity campaigns, discussions, and more.

ECDL Foundation supports the aims of European Cyber Security Month, and has been active in the area, publishing a position paper on IT Security Skills, and providing an, up-to-date, IT Security module.
