The quality of IT training and education for students in Ho Chi Minh City will be boosted under a new agreement signed between ICDL Asia and Saigon University. The agreement was signed by Dr Pham Hoang Quan, Rector of Saigon University, and Tina Wu, General Manager of ICDL Asia, at a ceremony in late November at the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Office in Vietnam.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Thanh Phong, the Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training Department, Pham Ngoc Thanh, the Irish Minister for Education, Richard Bruton TD, and the Irish Ambassador, Cáit Moran.

The partnership will see Saigon University improve the quality of IT training and education for students in the city, and contributes towards the goal of making Ho Chi Minh City a ‘smart city’.
