ICDL has become mandatory for students from the University of Tourism and Business (UTB), a university in Kigali, Rwanda. The students had the opportunity to take part in meetings with the ICDL Africa team in January, discussing ICDL and digital literacy in the country.

ICDL Africa highlighted the benefits of digital literacy during the meetings, including the inclusion of digital literacy in Rwanda’s national digital talent policy, which aims to increase the numbers of people with digital skills in the country. Representatives of UTB also emphasised the opportunity that students have to take ICDL at the university, with the fees covered by UTB.
