A signing ceremony to mark the start of a new initiative to adopt ICDL for students at Nanjing Commercial College, in China, took place in March, attended by ICDL Asia General Manager, Tina Wu, and the college’s Chancellor, Yin Shufeng. The new agreement is in line with China’s policy to internationalise its universities and colleges by introducing internationally recognised qualifications.
Local ICDL Asia partner and Accredited Test Centre, AMI Science & Technology discussed the implementation plan for ICDL and the different solutions that are suitable for students from different schools.
Nanjing Commercial College sees the value of ICDL certification and expects that a globally-recognised certification will bring many benefits to their students, giving them an edge above others when they enter into the workforce. The college is also among the first few institutes to start training for ICDL modules, with more institutes soon to joinin offering ICDL.
