ICDL Africa participates in Digital Talent Day in Rwanda

The Rwandan Ministry of Information Technology and Communication has hosted a Digital Talent Day event at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali. ICDL Africa took part in the event, alongside other stakeholders from both the public and private sectors including the University of Rwanda and Carnegie Mellon Africa.

The Digital Talent Day is a one-day event that is aimed at discussing and showcasing different initiatives related to ICT capacity and skills development, the creation of digital jobs and the promotion of ICT innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event brought together government institutions, the academic sector, the ICT private sector and non-governmental organisations, and was addressed by the Minister of Information Technology and Communications, the Hon. Jean de Dieu Rurangirwa. In his speech, the minister highlighted the importance of the quality of education in schools.
