Under the patronage of His Excellency, Professor Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education in Jordan, Specto held a seminar at the Holiday Inn Dead Sea Resort for private schools in Jordan. Around 100 delegates from schools and the Ministry of Education attended the event. Principals seized the opportunity to meet with the Minister for a quick chat about the situation in schools and the prospective future.

An insightful presentation was delivered by the Development Manager of ECDL Foundation, Jakub Christoph, about the future of ICDL, and another one by the General Manager of Specto, Naseem Abu El Haija, about the status of schools in Jordan and the importance of new digital skills for students.

Four panels were moderated to discuss topics of great importance to recently accredited schools and those who are considering the adoption of the program. Panellists included ICDL teachers and principals who shared their experiences with the audience. The discussion covered the benefits of the ICDL program, case studies of best practices, challenges and how to overcome them, and schools’ vision about education in the future.
