Founded in 1969, ISS is a co-educational non-profit making school on the island of Mahe in the Seychelles. From small beginnings, the school has grown steadily and today has over 700 pupils on roll, aged 3 to 18 years and representing over 30 nationalities. The International School Association owns the school. Parents whose children attend the school are members of the association. The School is licensed and registered by the Ministry of Education, Seychelles.
The school offers the UK National Curriculum - International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE) for years 10-11 and Advanced Level (A level) for years 12-13. All of these examinations are administered and accredited by the University of Cambridge, UK. The majority of the A level students proceed to undergraduate courses at Colleges and Universities around the world on completion of their programme. Students will now have an opportunity to certify their digital skills to the international standard – ICDL.
