A new report from Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE), a multi-stakeholder coalition under the World Bank, argues that digital jobs can offer young women in developing countries new employment opportunities. Based on a number of case studies, the ‘Digital Jobs for Youth: Young Women in the Digital Economy’ report highlights the benefits to young women of digital jobs, including increased productivity, higher earnings, and financial independence.

In addition to arguing for the importance of digital jobs that address the needs of young women, the report makes specific recommendations for how opportunities can be made available to young women, including a ‘typology’ to help determine what digital jobs can be accessed by what demographic groups.

More information can be found on the website of the World Bank.
