ECDL Foundation published the report ‘Delivering the Digital Agenda for Europe’ which analyses the key themes and challenges that going to shape the European skills debate in 2012 and 2013. The report also addresses the ‘digital native’ myth and the key role of digital skills for active ageing. Three priority actions are identified to foster digital skills education: collect ‘better’ evidence on the cost of digital ignorance to stimulate political actions, champion the issue through high-profile individuals promoting the need for digital skills, and adopt a more horizontal approach to skills that encompasses all sectors.
